It all started when...
My Japanese Grandfather gave me my first camera for my 6th Birthday, It was a Canon Datelux, a compact 35mm Rangefinder.
I was hooked and Lucky, My Father was also an enthusiast with a Rolliflex and Nikons... My other Grandfather had a set of Leicas!!
Studied Photography at The Bournmouth and Poole College of Art & Design (BPCAD), Assisted a commercial Photographer in London, Set up a Studio in HK... Then Life happened... got married and had two wonderful kids and left Photography.
19years and a great career in IT working in different industries, a CIO (For 17 countries in Asia and SA) and now Operations Director in Energy, working on the worlds largest Smart Grid deployment.
Photography for me now is a way to breathe and get grounded, it helps to relieve my daily stresses and is my passion.
I still do commissioned work and do some work for my friends, who are now business owners and leaders ofindustry..
Oh and I am Half Japanese and Half Scottish... Thus perhaps a slightly different view of the world and a slightly twisted sense of humor!!
